From time immeasurable, human beings have always been able to create some of the astounding architectural buildings which stood out for centuries. Here is our list of the 7 wonders of the world. In the year 2000, a new initiative had taken place, by the name new seven wonders foundation which is present in Zurich, Switzerland. They are responsible for maintaining the list of the seven wonders of the world. Our list goes by the same which was announced on 7th July 2007 at Lisbon City.
Honorary Status: The Great Pyramid Of Giza, Giza
The great pyramid of Giza, which is also known as the pyramid of Khufu or the pyramid of Cheops is the largest and oldest of the three pyramids which are now located at El Giza, Egypt. These pyramids were built around 2500 BC within 10-20 years. It has a height of 146.7 meters and a base length of 138.8 meters. The entire construction is done solely with limestone and granite.

1) The Great Wall Of China, China
The Great Wall of China, as the name suggests, is situated throughout the Chinese borders. It was built around 7th century BC by ancient Chinese but later on, stretched together and joined by Qin Shi Huang around 220 BC. The wall was constructed generally keeping in mind to protect the country from invaders like nomadic tribes including the Mongolians.
2) Petra, Jordan
Petra is the city that is currently in the southern part of Jordan. This was originally the city for the inhabitants of Raqmu. Petra is also known as the city of roses because of the color of the rocks that resemble that of roses. The entire town was built by carving out rocks as before as the 4th century which at that time was the capital of the Nabataean Kingdom. Thousands of people throughout the world come to visit the city of Petra, which has now become an attractive tourist spot. Don’t you feel that it perfectly alright if it’s part of 7 wonders of the world?
3) The Colosseum, Rome, Italy
The Colosseum, which is also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, is situated at the center of Rome. It was the largest amphitheater that was ever built holding more than 50,000 spectators. The entire Colosseum is built with limestone, volcanic rocks, and brick-faced concrete, which is now one of the most famous tourist spots throughout the world.
4) Chichen Itza, Yucatan, Mexico
Chichen Itza is one of the large cities built by the Maya civilization which is currently located in the Yucatan states of Mexico. It consists of several huge pyramids among which is the largest step-pyramid known as El Castillo. This is a temple dedicated to Kukulkan, the plumed serpent. This particular god came into existence around the 9th to 12th centuries. The temple itself is 1 km in diameter and attracts a lot of tourists throughout the world. It is awesome surely happy to see that it is part of the 7 wonders of the world.
5) Machu Pichu, Peru
Machu Pichu was the 15th century Inca Citadel, which is located at the Eastern Cordillera of southern Peru. It is also mistakenly referred to as the Lost City Of Inca. It is located 2430 meters above sea level high at the mountain ridge. Archeologists believe that Machu Pichu was established under the rule of Inca Emperor Pachacuti in the year around 1438 – 1472. Machu Pichu is built around the classical Inca style where the three primary structures are the Intihuatana, the Temple of the Sun, and the Room of the Three Windows. By the year 1976, almost half of the Machu Pichu has been restored, and the restoration continues.
6) Taj Mahal, Agra, India
The Taj Mahal is the most beautiful architectural figure that one can ever put their eyes on. It is an Ivory-white marble mausoleum built around the southern banks of the river Yamuna in the city of Agra, India. It was built by Shah Jahan for his favorite wife Mumtaz around the year 1632 and nearly took ten years to complete it. Along with the tomb, the Taj Mahal consists of Guesthouses and Masjid. In addition, The Taj Mahal is made in the style of Mughal Architecture and is appraised globally.
7) Christ Of Redeemer, Rio De Janerio, Brazil
The Christ Of Redeemer is a statue of Jesus Christ situated in Rio De Janerio, Brazil. It was created by the French Sculptor Paul Landowski while being built by the Brazillian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa. The statue is 30 meters high while the arm itself stretches to 28 meters. It was constructed between the years 1922 and 1931. The statue has become a cultural icon of both Rio De Janeiro and Christianity.
